That's why this month, we've broken down a few good steps for spring cleaning your vehicle.
1. Remove everything from the inside
that doesn’t belong or is creating clutter.
- Empty water bottles
- Extra coats
- Camping supplies
- Old papers, notes, receipts, wrappers, etc
2. Vacuum and dust interior
- Did you know the interior of your car if not dusted regularly releases harmful toxins? So get dusting!
3. Clean the windows
- It's always important to have a clear view when driving and salt from the winter roads can really cloud up your windows.
- Also, using the defroster in the winter, causes an oily film to build up on your windows.
4. Clean the exterior
- Experts believe that a clean exterior lead to better aerodynamics, which leads to better fuel efficiency.
- Take it in for a car wash, or grab a hose and a bucket of soap.
- If washing it yourself, find a shady place to wash to avoid the sun drying the soap suds.
5. Give your car a simple tune up
- Replace the air filter
- Check the spark plugs
- Get an oil change
- And of course make sure your A/C is good to go for the summer!
